Due to the evolving nature of COVID-19 and keeping in line with the current 60-day postponement of university-sponsored events, we are cancelling the remaining spring Community Conversations dates. We thank you for your understanding and look forward to conversing in the fall.
Community Conversations will focus on five main areas of conversation, depending on the Thursday of the month:
- Turning the Page
Systemic racism has a major impact on health disparities in America. Discuss books about systemic racism and its impact on health care and bio-medical research on the first Thursday of the month.
- Culture Hour
A casual forum for students, faculty, and staff on insights, questions, and concerns about culture will take place the second Thursday of each month.
A discussion about climate change, health care, and sustainability both on campus and at home will take place the third Thursday of each month.
- Health & Wellness
A dialogue centered on all aspects of living a healthful life will take place on the fourth Thursday of each month.
- Crucial Conversations
Conversation focused on essential and newsworthy topics will take place on the fifth Thursday of the month.
