The New Labor Suites

The KU Women's Health Specialty Centers is pleased to announce the opening of a NEW Labor Suite at the University of Kansas Hospital. After months of planning, design, and construction, we now offer expectant mothers family centered birthing with a combination of state-of-the-art technology and spa-like comfort.

The newly renovated facilities offers 11 Family Center Birthing Rooms:

• Private Italian Riviera bathrooms complete with walk-in showers
• Flat screen televisions to help pass the time
• WiFi Internet access to stay connected to family and friends
• Ample in-room storage to accommodate overnight stays

Not only do the new labor suites offer the comforts of home, but each one can quickly be transformed into a fully functional intensive care unit for mother and child. Each suite is equipped and ready for even the most complex deliveries as might be provided by the KU Center for Advanced Fetal Care. The result is the highest level of patient service regardless of complexity of care in the Midwest.
