Laura M. Kenny, MD, FACOG

Dr. Kenny is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist who specializes in providing comprehensive health care for women throughout the spectrum of their lives. She graduated from the University of Kansas – School of Medicine in 1983, and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. She was in private practice in Johnson County for 13 years and was the founder of The Women’s Clinic of Johnson County. Dr. Kenny joined the KU Women’s Health Specialty Centers in February 2008 as a Clinical Instructor. She primarily practices at the south Overland Park office, located at I-435 and Nall Avenue.

Dr. Kenny has been a Jayhawk since her undergraduate days in Lawrence, Kansas and is proud to say that her five children appear to be following in her footsteps. She is active in the community, particularly in the area of women’s health. She is a fellow in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Kenny’s areas of particular interest include minimally invasive (laparoscopic) surgery, comprehensive health care for the mid-life woman, and general gynecologic care including contraception, abnormal PAP smears, abnormal bleeding, menstrual problems, and sexually transmitted diseases.
