OBGYN Residency Program is Expanding
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is pleased to announce the expansion of their residency program. The Department has recently received approval from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) to increase the number residents admitted to the program from three to four beginning in the 2010-2011 academic year.
New Curriculum and Traning for the Residency Program
A recently developed addition to the program curriculum is robotic training on the da Vinci Surgical System. The goal is to achieve competency leading to the practitioner attaining the privilege to employ this new technology.
Also, the addition of a urogynecologist to the staff has expanded the curriculum in the area of urinary incontinence evaluation and treatment as well as pelvic floor dysfunction.
