Application Process

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is participating in the Electronic Residency Application Service. You may apply through your medical school's Dean's Office, or through the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates.

ERAS - Electronic Residency Application Service

The following will be reviewed by December 1:

  • Completed application.
  • Official letter from dean of your medical school along with transcript.
  • At least three letters of recommendation from faculty members who have worked closely with you in medical school.

Additional Information

  • According to the University of Kansas GME policy, only J-1 Visas are accepted.
  • Passing scores on USMLE steps 1 and 2 are required.
  • Applications are accepted within 5 years of Graduation from Medical School.
  • Kansas State law requires graduation from an accredited medical school for licensure.

Interviews will be scheduled through the end of December:
Interviews are arranged by invitation after application review and are conducted on Fridays from late October through December.  A typical interview day would include interviews during the morning and afternoon, lunch with several house staff members, and tour of our facilities.
