Anatomy and Cell Biology Laboratory Raises Money for Juvenile Diabetes

Members of the Sensory Nerve Disorder Laboratory (SNDL) participated in a fund-raising event for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) on March 28th. The event was held by Perceptive Software in Shawnee, KS and was the fourth annual Dodge for a Cause charity dodgeball tournament (http://www.dodgeforacause.com/).

The primary investigator of the laboratory is Dr. Doug Wright and the focus of the research is devoted to understanding the mechanisms that lead to neural complications in diabetes, as well as identifying therapies to improve diabetic neuropathy. In addition to competing in a dodgeball tournament, team members were awarded First Place for their team uniform.

Individuals participating included (front row, left to right) Brianne Guilford, Janelle Ryals, Megan Dunn, Anna Groover, (back row, left to right) Greg Bomhoff, Paul Rupp, Kevin Farmer, and Doug Wright.
