U.S. Secretary of Labor visits KU Medical Center

On July 21, 2009, U.S. Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis visited the KU Medical Center campus to announce a national program designed to retrain workers for careers in health care fields.

Her visit to KUMC included a demonstration of the telemedicine technology, a tour of the KU School of Nursing Clinical Learning Lab, discussion with KUMC students and a news conference.
