Nursing students win clinical excellence awards

KU School of Nursing students were recently recognized for clinical excellence. Level III clinical excellence award recipients are pictured with Dean Karen Miller, RN, PhD, FAAN, from left: Leann Richardson, Jessica Scirica, Andrea Glatz, Azita Tafreshi and Jenna Timken. Not pictured is Kristen Vogrin. Students were selected based on the following professional attitudes and values: Demonstrates enthusiasm for experiences in a variety of nursing roles; values the essence of diversity; demonstrates appreciation for the function of other health care providers; takes the initiative to be a self-directed learner; and independently advocates for the client system of individual, family, population group and community.
