Mar 19, 2008

The University of Kansas School of Nursing Nurse Midwifery Education Program was recently granted continuing accreditation by the Division of Accreditation of the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) until June 2017.

The Nurse-Midwifery Education Program was established at the University of Kansas School of Nursing in 1999 to prepare master's level certified nurse-midwives to provide pregnancy and well-woman care to a full range of culturally diverse women in the Greater Kansas City area and the state of Kansas, especially to women who are medically underserved. To date, 35 students have completed education and training in the graduate midwifery track.
