KU School of Allied Health student wins award at Student Research Forum

Elizabeth Kerling, RD, graduate student at the University of Kansas School of Allied Health, received a First Place Overall Medal and a Clinical Studies II Award at the 2008 KU Medical Center Student Research Forum. Kerling is a student in the dietetics and nutrition department. Her mentor is Susan Carlson, PhD, dietetics and nutrition professor. Her research topic was titled "Relationship between total body iron status and dietary factors in U.S. toddlers."
