This May, the University of Kansas department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science graduates its 100th class of physical therapy students. Initially organized in 1943 as a response to the polio epidemic, the program has reached great heights in the areas of research and education. Faculty and graduates of the program have earned distinction and the department is consistently recognized as a leader by U.S. News & World Report.
