First-year students lend a helping hand to service organizations

Before they begin their academic programs, first-year students in the KU Schools of Health Professions, Nursing and graduate students in the KU School of Medicine take part in Community Service Day — an outreach effort that pairs them with community service agencies in Wyandotte County. For half a day, students perform a wide array of activities to help the organizations better serve the community.
