In the Healing Foods Kitchen in KU Medical Center's Integrative Medicine program, patients, staff, students and the public discover how to prepare foods for specific health conditions such as cancer, heart disease, diabetes and other diet-related conditions. Dietitian Leigh Wagner shows participants how cooking and eating healthy can be simple and enjoyable, while participants gain confidence, knowledge and skills in using healthy recipes with whole, minimally processed foods that are delicious and can prevent and alleviate disease.
Visitors to Integrative Medicine will also find physicians, a naturopathic doctor, nurses, certified neurofeedback technicians and integrative nutritionists. To learn more, go to the Integrative Medicine website.
