KU's department of occupational therapy education teaches children with autism how to swim

Through an Autism Speaks grant, the University of Kansas Department of Occupational Therapy Education has developed a program that teaches children with autism how to swim. By combining established therapeutic practices with Red Cross swimming guidelines, instructors are able impart specialized instruction to children who are at a greater risk of drowning.
