Last year, the Midwest Stem Cell Therapy Center and The KU Cardiovascular Research Institute hosted its second annual "Midwest Conference on Cell Therapy and Regenerative Medicine." Nearly 200 attendees participated in our two-day conference, which targeted cardiovascular physicians, pulmonologists, hematology & oncology physicians, endocrinologists, neurologists, critical care physicians and research scientists in the greater Midwest region.

The purpose of this conference was to update physicians, scientists, advanced practice registered nurses, nurses, allied health professionals, and trainees in the greater Midwest region on:

  1. The past, present, and future of adult stem cell therapy;
  2. New diagnosis and treatment guidelines related to cell therapy for various medical conditions; and
  3. Management of patients using these new cell transplantation technologies.

A review of clinical trials that have contributed to the advancement of this field were presented. Participants learned about advances in therapy with adult stem cells while examining the latest trends in regenerative medicine.

Target Audience:

The Annual Midwest Conference on Cell Therapy and Regenerative Medicine is designed for physicians, scientists, advanced practice registered nurses, nurses, trainees, and allied health professionals in the fields of cardiovascular diseases, pulmonology, hematology & oncology, endocrinology, neurology, critical care, family medicine and internal medicine.
