I am currently pursuing fellowship training in Blood Banking & Transfusion Medicine with a completion date of June 30, 2016. Having successfully passed Board certification examinations in Anatomic & Clinical Pathology, I am a diplomate of the American Board of Pathology. I also hold a permanent, unrestricted medical license in the state of Missouri. I have a particular interest in patient safety and quality, and have pursued research in optimizing red blood cell transfusion practices and improving adherence to the American Society for Apheresis (ASFA) Guidelines for therapeutic apheresis procedures. I have presented several conferences to laboratory and clinical colleagues about appropriate laboratory test utilization, and have received two awards for research during residency.
