Live Cell Imaging Core

The Live Imaging Core provides access to the following technologies


Microscopy

  • Light Microscopy (bright-field, phase and dark-field)
  • Chromophore immunoflourescence microscopy
  • Laser confocal microscopy
  • Calcium Imaging

Equipment

  • Nikon TE200U Motorized inverted laser confocal microscope using magnifications of 4X, 10X, 20X, 20x oil, 40X and 60X oil
    Outfitted with 3 Lasers: 633nm, 488nm, and 543nm and a Bio-Rad Micro manipulatirs for micro injection.
  • An Enviromental Chamber and 5% CO2 system has been added for the live cell imaging.
  • High intensity UV source operated by a programmable shutter & filter wheel for ratiometric imaging.
  • CoolSnap CF digital camera driven by Metamorph image capture and analysis software.
  • Nikon EZ C1 Confocal imaging software.
