Abd Qannus, MD - Geriatric Fellow 2020-2021

Abd Qannus, Geriatrics Fellow 20-21After completing medical school at Damascus University in Syria, Dr. Qannus completed an Internal Medicine Residency and Nephrology Fellowship at the American University of Beirut Medical Center. Why Geriatrics: The growing population of older people with chronic diseases requires approaching the patient from different aspects, and provide care focused on their needs, not just treating a disease.

Thoughts for future practice: I hope that I can incorporate my expertise in geriatrics in the nephrology world.

Family: Despite Covid, my wife and I are still able to enjoy Kansas City with our two kids.

Hobbies/interest: ping-pong, visiting new places, and trying new foods
