2013 Vision Screenings

April 5 - Salina, Kan.
Instructor: Mae Claxton, RN
Location: Salina Regional Health Center, Conference Rooms 1 & 2
Registration: 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Workshop: 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Cost:  $50 - must pre-register no later than April 1. Cancellation deadline - April 4

April 6 - Garden City, Kan.
Instructor: Valerie Rainman, RN
Location: St. Catherine Hospital, 401 E. Spruce St., Classroom A
Registration: 12:00 - 12:30 p.m.
Workshop: 12:30 - 4:30 p.m.
Cost: $50 - must pre-register no later than March 27. Cancellation deadline - April 1

April 19 - Emporia, Kan.
Instructor: Mae Claxton, RN
Location: Emporia State University, Viser Hall, Room 110
Registration: 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Workshop: 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Level 1 - Hearing Screening Certification, Pure Tones
Location:  (Day 1) Lawrence Public Schools, Educational Service & Distribution Center, Multipurpose Room, 110 McDonald Drive, Lawrence, Kan.; (Day 2) Corpus Christi Catholic School    
Time:  (Day 1) 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; (Day 2) To be discussed during Day 1 class
Day 1:  Renewal and new certifications
Day 2:  New certifications and practical experience (Pre-school, Kindergarten through middle school)
* Opportunity for using OAE Screening if you want guidance with this task. It is NOT part of the certification program, but there is opportunity for learning, discussion & hands-on experience under supervision.

October 21-22 - Lawrence, Kan.
Level 1 - Hearing Screening Certification, Pure Tones
Location:  (Day 1) Lawrence Public Schools, Educational Service & Distribution Center, Multipurpose Room, 110 McDonald Drive, Lawrence, Kan.; (Day 2) Sunflower Elementary     
Time:  (Day 1) 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; (Day 2) To be discussed during Day 1 class
Day 1:  Renewal and new certifications
Day 2:  New certifications and practical experience (Kindergarten through Grade 5; some special needs)
* Opportunity for using OAE Screening if you want guidance with this task. It is NOT part of the certification program, but there is opportunity for learning, discussion & hands-on experience under supervision.

November 14-15 - Lawrence, Kan.
Level 2 - Hearing Screening Certification, Pure Tones + Tympanometry
Location:  (Day 1) Lawrence Public Schools, Educational Service & Distribution Center, Multipurpose Room, 110 McDonald Drive, Lawrence, Kan.; (Day 2) Hillcrest Elementary
Time:  (Day 1) 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; (Day 2) To be discussed during Day 1 class
Day 1:  Renewal and new certifications
Day 2:  New certifications and practical experience (Kindergarten through Grade 5, large ESL population, some special needs)
* Opportunity for using OAE Screening if you want guidance with this task. It is NOT part of the certification program, but there is opportunity for learning, discussion & hands-on experience under supervision.
