Winter

Michelle Winter, B.S. is the Core Manager of the KUMC RBF and Disease Model and Assessment Services.  She has a Molecular Genetics degree from The University of Kansas and nearly two decades of laboratory experience, rodent behavioral testing and survival surgery.  Ms. Winter provides training and support to users of the rodent behavior facility, data analysis, and experimental design.  Additionally, she performs rodent surgical services and all Core-provided ImmunoAssay services.

John P.Thyfault, PhD is the Co-Director of the MORPh. He has expertise in obesity and metabolism with >5 years of experience using the echoMRI system to measure body composition and Promethion indirect calorimetry system for phenotyping mice and rats. Dr. Thyfault can provide assistance in experimental design and data interpretation.

 Paige C. Geiger, PhD is the Co-Director of the MORPh. Dr. Geiger has lead studies related to insulin resistance, fatty liver, obesity, and exercise and also has strong expertise in metabolic assesments.
