Notes:
Connectivity - refers to the type of telecommunication line. ISDN is a digital telephone line; IP, or internet protocol, means that an internet line is used. Unlike ISDN lines, IP lines do not have any long distance charges associated with them.
1. Video conferencing is also commonly called interactive televideo, or ITV.
2. Conference room units are typically located in larger rooms and are best for events with multiple participants.
3. Desktop units are configured on employees' computer systems and are best for individual meetings.
4. Multiple-site video conferences can be coordinated with up to 28 IP sites and 8 ISDN sites simultaneously. Please contact the appropriate department to arrange this type of conference based on the room from which it will be held.
5. Virtually any of these devices can connect with any other device listed. For example, the EVC could hold a videoconference with AHEC or an equipped classroom, or both simultaneously.
