Students transferring to KUMC from another institution must be eligible for transfer according to government regulations. The student must be released from their current school and a transfer set-up in the SEVIS system. Through SEVIS the student’s file is electronically transferred from one school to the other.

In order to transfer to KUMC, you will need to request a transfer from your current school. Ask them to transfer your SEVIS file to University of Kansas Medical Center. KUMC also requires that the transferring school completes the Transfer-In Request Form and sends it to KUMC.

For students who wish to transfer out, please contact an immigration advisor in the Office of International Programs to determine if you are eligible for transfer.
