Short-Term Electives

General Information

We are no longer accepting applications for the 2015-2016 academic school year due to all available spaces have been filled.  We are accepting applications for the Fall 2016 (October-December) and the Spring 2017 (January-June) semesters.

The University of Kansas Medical Center offers short-term clinical electives to international medical students in their final year of medical school. The Short-Term Electives Program at KUMC is a great opportunity for students to enhance their medical knowledge by gaining practical skills while training alongside our faculty physicians. Each clinical elective module is four weeks. International students are limited to no more than two modules. There are a limited number of spaces available for each module, and the application process starts a year prior to the elective start date.
