Sample Med/Peds Rotation Schedule:
Although each resident's path through residency will be constrained by
the needs of the programs, and tailored to the unique needs of that individual,
we can provide a general idea of what you can expect:
YEAR ONE:
Two Six-Month Blocks (one in each department).

- 1 month Emergency Department;
- 1 month Outpatient Clinic;
- 1 month Full Term Nursery or Community Pediatrics;
- 1 month Neonatal ICU;
- 1 month Inpatient Wards;
- 1 month Pediatric ICU.

- 1 month Ambulatory or Elective

YEARS TWO & THREE:
Six Four-Month Blocks (three in each department).

- 2 months Adolescent and Behavioral/Developmental Pediatrics;
- 4 months Electives (Neurology, Endocrinology, Cardiology,
Allergy, Rheumatology, Hematology/Oncology).

- 1 month Cardiac ICU;
- 2 months Renal or Oncology;
- 2 months Inpatient Wards;
- 2 months Inpatient Wards in Supervisory Role;
- 3 months Consults (Pulmonary, Endocrinology, Rheumatology,
G.I. Medicine).
