Continuity Clinics:

Primary care and patient contact are the foundation of clinical care. Consequently, the residents in the Combined Program have a weekly continuity clinic in which they provide primary care for their own panel of patients. Each resident is assigned a group of patients at the start of residency, and will acquire others during training. The resident is responsible for the primary care of the patients in this panel throughout his or her residency. Interns and junior residents will have one half-day clinic each week, and senior residents will have two.

All Med/Peds residents have combined continuity clinics in the new Silver City Clinic, staffed by faculty certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. Located in the Argentine district of Kansas City, Kansas, this clinic provides primary care for patients of all ages.
