I am pleased to announce ScheduALL Interactive Web Reports. This is a read only version of our room scheduling system. It is dynamic, meaning as soon as a reservation is completed you can see it. You will need to refresh the report frequently if you leave it open. You will be able to see what rooms are available when planning an event. You will still need to email us or call us for a reservation. Classroom and Auditorium AV Training designed for University & Hospital EmployeesJanuary 27th, 2009 G013 SON 9-10amSudler Auditorium 2-3pm The following topics will be covered:Regular equipment training, access to Hospital G. drives through hospital VPN, how to log into University computers, how to use jump drives/memory sticks, where to connect laptops, how to operate touch panels, making effective Powerpoint presentations, watching Powerpoint 101, using Instructional Services website or brochures, how to connect to a Webinar, where to bring up web addresses on the room computer for Webinars, and bringing proper phone numbers to Webinars as well as phone conferences (digital phones do not work in our classrooms). The training will also cover University policies and procedures regarding: University space and University rules, leaving event 5 minutes before it is scheduled to be over so it doesn`t interfere with next event, no signs are to be placed on painted walls, doors, or windows, no food or drinks in rooms 2004 OM, 2005C OM, 2008 OM, and Lied Auditorium.

We will be having AV equipment training for auditoriums and classrooms. If you are new to the University or Hospital or just someone who would like a refresher course on using AV equipment and making effective power point presentations, please come and bring your colleagues. We have upgraded for the future! We now have HD capabilities and a New Apple Editing Suite with Final Cut Studio 2-HD. Please watch our Department Videos under their respected headings to see what we can do for you. Scheduling, Media Production, Audio Video and our IS intro-video, Quicktime required. Filmed with Panasonic-HD HVX200P Cameras and editied with Apple-Final-Cut Studio 2 HD. (May take a few seconds to load).

Cell Phone Advisory for Digital Auditoriums and Classrooms:
As we move forward with digital technology in our classrooms and
auditoriums, interference generated by cell phone usage is
becoming a greater concern. Our new facilities such as Beller Conference
Center have been built with digital audio equipment installed.
We are also updating and installing digital equipment in older
classrooms such as 2005C, 2004, and 2008 Orr-Major and in auditoriums
such as G013 School of Nursing and Sudler Auditoriums.
When this upgrade process is complete, cell phone usage will cause
interference to the digital audio systems. If it is a recording there
will be a loss of audio on the recording and a loud noise over the
presenter. If it is an ITV event, several things can occur.
There may be the same very loud noise on the recording, or the
entire ITV connection can be lost. So with this in mind, when you
are booking or having an event in rooms with digital equipment,
we request that you inform folks of the following advisory:
All cell phones, iPhones, and Blackberry devices must be turned off,
not to vibrate, to avoid interference with digital audio equipment
and/or recordings. Text messaging is not permitted at any time.
