Welcome to the Zückert Lab Website!

Our laboratory studies Borrelia spirochetes, the bacteria causing Lyme disease and relapsing fever. In particular, we are interested in defining the underlying mechanisms governing the deployment of the bacteria's main virulence factors, as well as their interactions with their mammalian hosts.

Follow the links on the left to gain further insight into the life in- and outside our laboratory.
