Leydig cells (blue arrow) which secrete testosterone can be found outside the tubules with the round nuclei. The contractile nature of myoid cells (red arrow), with spindle-shaped nuclei, help propel spermatozoa along the tubules. Note that the interstitial space also contains blood vessels and lymphatics.
