Go to: http://cms.kumc.edu/ in a web browser (Using Internet Explorer will give you the most predictable user experience)


a. Dashboard. See pages that you visited recently, time of last publish, drag-n-drop favorite pages, see pages in progress.
b. Site tree. Files in black are ones that you have rights to affect.
c. Page status. Check current workstate, should be "published" in order for changes to be pushed out on the next publish cycle

a. Click the Advance in Workflow button and then select Edit.
Important Note: If this drop down says Publish instead of Edit, select Publish and then follow the steps below. Once you have completed this process, then you will repeat this process and select Edit. You have to repeat the process twice when you don't own the page initially. So when you publish the page you take ownership of it... then you are able to edit it.

b. Click the Advance button

c. Select your name from the list. For the purpose of this training we will use cmstest1
d. Once you have selected your name, click OK.

a. Right mouse click on parent page for the new page.
b. Choose New > Edit

a. Enter name for the page. This is what appear in the navigation - avoid special characters.
b. Choose the Page type. Usually a detail page. Section fronts are generally for a group of pages that will need navigation different from the parent.
