Interactive Television (Videoconferencing) Equipment Standards

Polycom products are the University standard for Interactive Television installations, including classroom, conference room, auditorium, and desktop ITV systems.

The following model numbers are included in this standard:

Classroom/conference facility: HDX Series 7000/8000/9000 depending on capability requirements

  • Desktop: HDX4500
  • University Departments considering the installation of interactive television systems in University facilities (classrooms, conference rooms, auditoriums, etc.) must consult with the University

Chief Information Officer before proceeding with an installation. KUMC Purchasing will not process any order for Polycom ITV equipment without approval from the Chief Information Officer.

Information Resources will consider an exception to the standard models only when a standard model cannot deliver required functionality.
