Teaching and Learning Technologies provides a number of audio and video devices for presentation purposes. All equipment is deliverable within most areas of the main campus.
Blackboard's fully online courses provide both you and your students with a convenient and effective learning environment, anytime and anywhere. The hybrid courses, where some class time is face-to-face and other time spent learning online, allow you to select the most effective delivery method for the various activities in your course. Web-enhanced courses meet face-to-face, but include a Blackboard coursesite to enhance course content and activities, such as online access to PowerPoints, a gradebook, or between-class discussions.
The TLT-Media Scheduling Department is your first point of contact for any room service or reservation request you may need. Our schedulers are dedicated to finding the solution that will fit your event needs, and handle over 40,000 reservations per year. Scheduling inquiries and requests may be submitted by phone (x87326) or email. For purposes of efficiency, it is recommended that requests be sent by email or through our online room request form.
Have your paper surveys or course evaluations converted to or have new online surveys or evaluations. We will design the questionnaire, deploy e-mail notifications to participants, manage the collected data, and report the results for your evaluation or survey.
Each semester, we select two faculty who are doing exemplary things with technology in their courses, and they explain and demonstrate those uses to faculty from all the KUMC schools. Our Exemplary Courses program is based on similar work by Faseyitan, Libii, & Hirschbuhl (1996), which showed that faculty showcases of technology use improved computer self-efficacy by providing verbal persuasion and vicarious experiences.
Adobe Connect is a web conferencing tool where faculty and students can interact in an online environment in real time with audio, video, text chat, whiteboard, slideshows and screen sharing.

We currently have a complete assortment of professional quality digital video equipment, as well as a staff with decades of combined video production experience
Camtasia Relay is an easy-to-use desktop application records whatever is on your computer screen and whatever you say into your computer microphone. Once recorded, predefined user profiles automatically create needed audio and video files. An automated upload process places podcast files on a webserver for immediate online viewing by your students and others.
The Computer Testing Center (CTC) is located in the Dykes Library. With seating for up to 190 students, group testing in a secure environment is a high priority. The main rooms (G026 and G027) allow seating for 60 students per room, for a total of 120. Three additional classrooms are also available that can seat 18, 24, or 31 students. For students who meet ADA requirement, single-station rooms are available that can be used for extended testing.
