KU Medical Center has deployed a new audio conferencing system, which is now available for use by university and hospital employees. Instructions on how to schedule a conference call in Acano have been created for your convenience.
The former bridge system will expire on July 1. At that time, no new conference calls will be able to be scheduled on that system. Calls already scheduled in the bridge system will be available until Dec. 31, 2016. Ongoing calls will need to be rescheduled on Acano before that date.
Acano has 10 times the capacity of the former bridge system and features an easy-to-use website for scheduling and administering audio conference calls. Users can see callers who are logged into the conference and mute, un-mute or disconnect callers, if necessary. The new system also allows for more secure conference calling with the ability to schedule the calls using unique login IDs and passwords.

A bridge conference call is for four or more callers who want to conference together by telephone to conduct a meeting.
