The KU Center for Technology and Commercialization (KUCTC) was created on July 1, 2008, by the technology transfer operation of the University of Kansas.

This new structure represents a renewed commitment to bringing the resources of the university to bear on the transfer of technologies.

KUCTC is a 501(c)(3) jointly-controlled by the KU Center for Research and the KU Medical Center Research Institute with its own 13-member board.
