Glove Box

photo of glove box

The glove box is a controlled environment that can be used to change media and work with cells in an oxygen controlled workspace. The glove box uses medical grade gases. Outside air is first passed through a HEPA filter and exposed to UV light before entering the chamber. The temperature of both the air and the work surface are independently controlled at 37° Celsius. The glove box is illuminated and has outlets for auxiliary equipment. You access the glove box through a pass through, which is also controlled for oxygen concentration. The glove box does require a considerable amount of gas and thus must be reserved separately.
