Environmental, Health and Safety

The University of Kansas Medical Center's Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Office is part of the Associate Vice Chancellor's Office for Compliance.

Our goals are to:

• Protect the environment, health and safety of our students, faculty, staff, visitors, and community,
• Provide environmental protection and safety-related support services to the Medical Center campus and surrounding community, and
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

All University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC) personnel, University of Kansas Physicians (UKP) personnel, and Research Institute (RI) personnel are required to complete general Safety Training specific to their roles within the University both as new hires and annually.
