Deferred Compensation Plan

All State of Kansas employees may participate in the State of Kansas Deferred Compensation Plan with ING. Deferred compensation is a voluntary defined contribution plan established by the state to help any employee provide a supplement to their retirement income. The employee decides how much money to defer based on IRS limits. That amount is automatically deducted from the paycheck and invested in the options chosen by the employee. The employee currently pays no federal or state income taxes on the deferred amounts or the earnings. For information about this plan, call 1-800-232-0024.
