 The Jayhawk Way*: Success Academy

"Soon after launching the leadership development program, I began to hear feedback that other members of our staff wanted to have a similar opportunity to develop and refine their professional skills.  In response, The Carden Group created a training program just for our non-managerial employees which parallels and complements the leadership program. We named it Success Academy.  I hope you all will be as excited about it as I am and seriously consider participating and encouraging your staff to participate as well!"

Areas of focus include:

  • Identifying strengths and areas for growth
  • Goal Setting
  • Time management and prioritizing
  • Dealing with difficult situations
  • Effective communication skills
  • Professionalism
  • And much more!

This program is delivered in highly interactive, instructor-led sessions as well as one-on-one coaching sessions over three months (September-December 2013 or January-March 2014).  The purpose of this program is to foster individual growth for the participants and to contribute to a culture of excellence at KUMC.

More details will be coming soon.  We are limited to 8 groups of 60 for Success Academy and based on the popularity of the initial session expect the program to fill quickly.

*The Jayhawk Way is the term we're using for our approach to applying the Baldrige performance improvement principles at KUMC.
