Mr. Bonney is currently senior vice president for business development for the Saint Luke’s Health System in Kansas City, Missouri. He has more than 30 years of health care experience, including serving simultaneously as a senior vice president of a multi-hospital system and the chief operating officer of the system’s two largest hospitals and as the executive director of a 170,000 member managed-care company.
Bonney holds masters’ degrees in both business administration and health services management from the University of Missouri – Columbia and a law degree, summa cum laude, from the Michigan State Law School (formerly Detroit College of Law). He is a prolific author and has held faculty positions at several universities including the University of Missouri – Columbia and the University of Kansas.
Mr. Bonney is board certified in healthcare management and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He has been an American College of Healthcare Executives faculty member for 23 years, most recently teaching the ACHE course “Pay for Performance and Consumer-driven Health Care: Implications for Providers.”
