Scholarship funds are now available as a special benefit to Heartland Chapter members as well as to members of their immediate family (children, spouses, grandchildren, nieces and nephews). The Heartland Chapter scholarship program is funded through various fund-raising events such as an annual golf outing. The scholarship program is not just limited to course work in the environmental science and engineering fields, but is also open to consideration of all types of course/program areas, including non-college programs such as technical training workshops, etc.

The scholarship dollars that will be available each year are, however, limited, so members are asked to submit an application using the attached form. In the event that there are more applicants than scholarship monies available, the chapter's Board of Directors will select the winning applicants on the basis of previous academic performance, community involvement, etc.
