This year, we have funding available to support trainee travel expenses for internal KUMC trainees and external, non-KUMC trainees. In order for a trainee to be eligible for a travel award, you must submit an abstract for poster or oral presentation (abstract submission deadline is Wednesday, August 24th at 11:59 p.m.), and for KUMC trainees, you must also volunteer before or during the symposium.

If you would like to be considered for a Trainee Travel Award, please check the box below. Additionally, in the Payment Method section of the Registration Form, please indicate “Requesting Trainee Travel Award” as your method of payment. We have a set dollar amount available for the Trainee Travel Awards, so the amount of each award will be determined by the number of eligible trainees who apply.

We anticipate contacting selected trainee travel awardees by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 2nd, and we will post the awardee names on our website as well.

Trainee abstracts selected for trainee oral presentation will also be contacted by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 2nd.
