Poster Session
Thursday, October 11, 7:30-9 p.m.
KUMC Campus, Hemenway Life Sciences Innovation Center
Beller Conference Center, Rooms 1001/1009 (see campus map)
Poster dimensions: 4 ft by 4 ft.
Double-sided poster boards will be available in Beller 1001-1009 (4 posters per board, 2 on each side). T-pins will be provided. Abstract/poster numbers will be included in your registration packet at the registration desk (outside G013 School of Nursing) and will indicate the location for your poster on the poster boards. An additional registration desk will be set up in the Beller Conference Center for registrants whose packets were not picked up prior to the start of the Keynote Lecture (Keynote Lecture is from 5:00-6:15 p.m., G013 SON).
Posters should be hung between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 11, in Beller 1001-1009, and removed by 9 p.m. on Thursday, October 11. Any posters left on poster boards after 9 p.m. on October 11 will be brought to the Kansas City Public Library the following morning (Friday, October 12) and will be available for pick-up at the symposium registration desk at the library (Helzberg Auditorium, 5th Fl.).
Trainee Poster Competition - FAQs
Q: Who's eligible to participate?
A: Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Fellows/Associates (trainees only); faculty and staff are not eligible to participate
Q: How do I submit my abstract and participate in the Trainee Poster Competition?
A: Go to our Abstract Submission Page, submit your abstract, and "check" the box at the bottom of the page indicating your intentions to participate in the poster competition.
Q: Who will judge the poster competition?
A: A panel of faculty judges will be identified by the symposium organizing committee and will be assigned posters to judge.
Q: How many poster awards will be made?
A: The judges will award prizes to 2 graduate students and 2 postdoctoral fellows/associates.
