Diabetes Insipidus
is rare disease in which the in which the kidneys produce abnormally large
volumes of dilute urine . It is NOT diabetes mellitus/sugar diabetes. DI crosses
over all age groups from the pre-born to the elderly and knows no socio-economic
boundaries. Some of the causes of central/neurogenic Diabetes Insipidus are
head trauma, brain tumor, illness and genetics. Some of the causes of nephrogenic
Diabetes Insipidus are lithium usage, renal failure and genetics.
