workshop designed to update and inspire science educators by providing lectures combined

- The Access Excellence forum on
AOL. The Access Excellence Resource Center contains biology and biotechnology resources.
Genentech, private corporations, research centers, and professional associations are
partnering together to fill the Resource Center with pertinent and leading edge research
and education resources.
- High School Human Genome
Program, the Departments of Molecular Biotechnology and Medical History and Ethics,
University of Washington in Seattle, WA - an outreach program targeted at high school
teachers and their students, includes both scientific and ethics components. Students o
participate directly in sequencing the human genome, and consider the social and ethical

- Summer Faculty
Institute, Ethics Institute, Dartmouth College, NH
NIH/NCHGR funded undergraduate multidisciplinary course on the ethical, legal, and social
issues of the HGP. In conjunction with the course, we will run a 10-week for faculty
(college level) interested in learning about these issues and teaching a similar course at
