To make the Genetics Education Center the home page

which appears each time you open your browser:

MS Internet Explorer

1. Go to http://www.kumc.edu/gec
2. From the top menu bar, select Tools, then select Internet Options...
3. After the "Internet Options..." window appears, select the tab General
4. Under the "Home page" section, and the text "You can change which page to use for your home page. Address:" is a box that should have the address (URL), http://www.kumc.edu/gec (or other Genetics Education Center possibilities such as http://www.kumc.edu/gec/support, or http://www.kumc.edu/gec/geneinfo.html)
5. Click the "Use Current" box under the text box
6. Then, click OK

Netscape Navigator

1. Go to http://www.kumc.edu/gec
2. From the top menu bar, select Edit, then select Preferences
3. Click "Navigator"
4. Under the "Home page" section, and the text "Clicking the Home button will take you to this page. Location:" is box that should have the address (URL) http://www.kumc.edu/gec (or other Genetics Education Center possibilities such as http://www.kumc.edu/gec/support, or http://www.kumc.edu/gec/geneinfo.html)
5. Click the "Use Current" box under the text box
6. Then, click OK
