Construction Services

The mission of Construction Services (CS) is to provide the University of Kansas Medical Center a top quality renovation and construction services program that ensures work is completed in a professional, cost effective, and customer friendly manner.

Renovations and small discretionary (billable) projects are generated by submitting a Work Request, or by calling the Customer Service Center, ext. 87928. If you would like your office painted, new carpet installed, new cabinets, new locks and keys, or to schedule a move, call ext. 87928.

Large projects require lead-time for plans and to initiate a formal process due to funding, building codes, and State requirements. CS specializes in doing Laboratory Renovations. Please contact your Administrative Officer to initiate a project request.

CS can also assist researchers in obtaining custom made parts for special equipment, or machining parts if needed. Call ext. 87928 for a Work Request.

Relocation Process

Gary Luedtke (ext. 89014) is the Move Coordinator for all Jayhawk Construction projects. He will assist our customers in changing addresses, signage, scheduling movers, coordinating with furniture contractors, etc. For other relocation requirements, please print off our relocation checklist. This will provide a step-by-step process to ensure your relocation happens smoothly with a minimum of disruption to your office.
