The mission of Construction Services (CS) is to provide the University of Kansas Medical Center a top quality renovation and construction services program that ensures work is completed in a professional, cost effective, and customer friendly manner.
Renovations and small discretionary (billable) projects are generated by submitting a Work Request, or by calling the Customer Service Center, ext. 8-7928. If you would like your office painted, new carpet installed, new cabinets, new locks and keys, or to schedule a move, call ext. 8-7928.
Large projects require lead-time for plans and to initiate a formal process due to funding, building codes, and State requirements. CS specializes in doing Laboratory Renovations. Please contact your Administrative Officer to initiate a project request.
CS can also assist researchers in obtaining custom made parts for special equipment, or machining parts if needed. Call ext. 8-7928 for a Work Request.
David Rau (ext. 8-7974) and James Hawthorne (ext. 8-7952) are the Move Coordinators for all Jayhawk Construction projects. They can assist our customers in changing addresses, signage, scheduling movers, coordinating with furniture contractors, etc.
