Dear Friends,

At the urging of Kansas City civic leaders, The University of Kansas School of Medicine is exploring potential academic and research partnerships that would allow us to align our strengths with those of the leading hospitals in our region. A steering committee I have agreed to chair is currently considering the issues involved in any such new partnerships.

In an effort to keep you informed about this process I am providing you with links to several documents that I hope you will find helpful. One is to a copy of a press release in which we announced the formation of a steering committee and its membership. The other is to a presentation I have given at several faculty forums which highlight the opportunities and challenges that shape the steering committee’s agenda.
