EEOC Issues New ADA Guidelines

In September of 2008 the EEOC issued “The ADA: Applying Performance and Conduct Standards to Employees with Disabilities”

These standards assist supervisors in their management of the performance and conduct of employees with disabilities. Because of their receipt of questions from both employees and employers regarding such topics as when a request for accommodation should be made and when an employer can properly raise the issue of an employee’s disability, EEOC developed these guidelines.
