Initial and periodic training is required by many Federal and State regulations. In addition, the University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC) and the University of Kansas Hospital require employee training so personnel can carry out their jobs safely and efficiently. For the most part, KUMC uses The Learning Connection (TLC) for safety training for its availability and ease of tracking.
