Referring a Patient to the Endocrine Outpatient Clinic

It is important that new patients be under the care of a primary care physician at the time of their referral to the Endocrine Clinic. If a general physician is needed this may be arranged by calling 913-588-3901 and requesting an appointment in the General Medicine Division.

Referrals are accepted from the physician that is currently evaluating the patient for the endocrine concern. Progress notes, medications, related radiology reports and laboratory results will be requested. These medical records will be reviewed to determine the medical urgency of each case to avoid appointment delays.

Requests received before noon will be responded to the same working day. Requests received after noon will be responded to by noon of the next business day.
