The KU Medical Center's Electron Microscopy Research Laboratory (EMRL) office is located in Biomedical Research Facility, Room B015. The laboratory is well equipped for routine EM applications and technical personnel are available to assist investigators.  An appointment is required to schedule training or use equipment.

 

The items of equipment are as follows:

v     JEOL 100CX II Transmission Microscope equipped with a Gatan Bioscan Digital Camera
v     JEOL 100S Transmission Electron Microscope 
v     Hitachi 2700 Scanning Electron Microscope equipped with a Quartz PCI digital capture system
v     LKB Nova Ultramicrotome
v     Leica UCT Ultramicrotome 
v     RMC MT 7000 Ultramicrotome equipped with a RMC CR-21 Cryokit 
v     Balzer Critical point drier
v     Pelco SC-6 sputter coater
v     Fullam turbo pumped vacuum evaporator
v     LKB Historange microtome (JB-4 sections)
v     MohrPro 8 print processor
